Fast and universal approach for quantitative measurements of bistable hysteretic systems

Accurate and fast characterization of hysteretic systems can accelerate progress in fields as diverse biomedicine, sensors, data storage, logic devices. Here, we introduce a approach to determine magnetic parameters (intrinsic coercivities elementary domains, interaction between the variances both) bistable systems. The uses first few points first-order reversal curves (FORC) mathematically empirically projections traditional FORC diagrams onto field applied axes. Since this projection only requires per each curve (rather than 100+ for compared method), time measurement is reduced by 50-100x over measurements. In addition, results do not contain typical artifacts that have been disputed decades. As proof concept, analysis was used several arrays nanowires (MNWs), were with hysteresis loop results. For non-interacting MNWs, all three methods give intrinsic coercivity minor difference. While, differences become significant interacting MNWs will be discussed details.
